| Welcome
to Pembroke Festival's website! This year's festival is now over and was a resounding success. We are currently having a few days off before beginning the work of planning next year's events. In the meantime, we hope you will take a few minutes to have a look at the PHOTO GALLERIES which are being put together. These will be added to over the next week and if you see any pictures you would like as a souvenir, there are details of how to buy them on the Gallery Index Page. Don't forget to keep checking back every now and then as we add reviews and reports and also, details of what will be happening in the 2006 Pembroke Festival! The imposing eleventh century Norman castle which dominates Pembroke Town was the venue for many of the events again this year. Our heartfelt thanks go to The Castle Trust for their continuing support. It was in Pembroke Castle in 1457 that Henry Tudor - founder of the Tudor dynasty - was born, and the stronghold also played a key role during the Civil Wars when Cromwell himself laid siege to the town. The town council hosted Pembroke Festival 2005 and our primary sponsor was Texaco. It was supported by Pembroke 21C community association, along with a host of other local businesses, individuals and event sponsors. INTERNATIONAL WELSH CELTIC FIDDLE COMPETITION The second Pembroke Celtic Fiddle Competition took place on Sunday 4 September 2004 in the grounds of Pembroke Castle. Photos will be coming very soon!
