Opening Ceremony
Pembroke Castle

The Captain of H.M.S. Pembroke, Lt. Cdr. S. Ryan, accompanied by the Mayor of Pembroke, will officially open the 4th Pembroke Festival in the Castle Grounds.

The Officers and Crew are in town to be presented with the Freedom of Pembroke.

The Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines will parade in the Castle and will escort the Officers and Crew to a service in St Michael’s Church.

Farmers Market
Mill Bridge

This is our 3rd Produce Market – local produce of all kinds and our own Country Market. Other stalls: Burger Bar, Ice-Cream Van and many others.

11am - 2pm
Autumn Plant & Shrub Fair
Mill Pond Walk

Major nurseries from all over Pembrokeshire and further afield showing off their autumn stock.

Admission free.

Steps2Health - a walk around Pembroke Millponds & Historic Town Walls
Meet in front of Tanyard Youth Centre

Steps2Health is part of the national Walking Your Way to Health Initiative.

Join the Coordinator Paul Morris for this circular walk.

Bugs, Beetles & Bushes
Holyland Wood, Kingsbridge Entrance

Hunt for bugs on trees and bushes, search for the oldest and tallest trees in the wood, create woodland art and lots more... Fun for all the family.

An exciting evening with performers from Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Venezuela, Equador, Honduras & Spain dancing Salsa, Samba, Merengue, Traditional Folk & much more!

3rd International Welsh Celtic Fiddle Competition & Finale
Pembroke Castle

Some of the finest Traditional Fiddle players from this country and further afield compete for £1,100 prize money – and the bronze fiddle award, which is presented by David Petersen.

There is both an open and under 11 competition. The quality of playing will take your breath away in this - not to be missed event.

A “spoonathon” is planned. The audience is asked to bring two dessert spoons each and will accompany the fiddlers in possibly the first performance of the William Tell Overture on spoons!
